Computer vision combined with AI are able to detect where the individual is at and how they are positioned at edge of bed (a higher risk location). Variables such angle or wearing socks (more slippery) are embedded in the AI model and are continually “training” and learning. This becomes a highly predictive capability, lowering risk of falls.
Walker usage patterns are highly valuable predictive data and intelligence. If / or not, usage of walker is monitored. Combined with how the walker is used, and in what patterns becomes crucial predictive capability to lower risk of falls.
Monitoring and support from Vision AI Care enables greater awareness of the client’s status. Are they not in room when they should be (especially relevant for dementia or Alzheimer’s)? Are there many trips to the bathroom indicating a potential urinary tract infection?
Has a fall occurred? How can we improve our response times and safety for the client? This monitoring and real-time enhanced capability also enables a post-fall review to understand how to improve future prevention.
Is the client exhibiting signs of distress such as “bed thrashing” or other indicators? This highly responsive, predictive capability can be enhanced over time with facial recognition and regular review of facial gestures or changes.
